Greetings to all my students,
I hope that everyone has had a good break despite all the chaotic events happening around the world. This announement is long, but please read everything carefully. As mentioned last time, I will begin to review/teach the content of this class after Spring Break using a specific schedule. For this class, we have two types of meetings: regular class meetings and office hours.
Regular class meeting: I will teach and review the content with you during these meetings, where we will do virtual labs and other activities. These are the main sections for this class, and the amount of time matches the duration you suppose to spend per week when we had in-person class meetings. The zoom links will be sent separately for each day.
+ Monday 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM
+ Wednesday: 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM
+ Thursday: 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM
Note: The regular class meetings will be recorded and posted on Google Classroom for students who can't attend the class. However, I don't recommend you rely on this option, because it is not ideal for you to self-learn. Doing so will also limit your opportunity to participate and ask questions. I plan to post the recording on YouTube and share the link with you. However, this may change if I find a better option.
Office hour: I don't teach/review content with you during this meeting. I will be online for those who have questions regarding the content of the class. If you think you understand the material, you don't have to attend my office hours. I can stay online a little longer than the time listed below if needed.
+ Tuesday and Thursday: 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
Turning in your assignments: Assignments are due on specific dates and times throughout the week. You can either make a copy of the work or print and work them out on paper. Regardless, you MUST submit the assignments to Google classroom. If you find this to be a problem, please send me an email separately so I can help you. The assignments' due dates and times are:
+ Tuesday and Friday: 9:00 PM
+ Wednesday: 11:59 PM
Note: The times and dates listed above correspond to our meeting on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Holiday schedules will be adjusted accordingly to the school schedule, and I will announce it in advance.
Email: I understand that this is a difficult time for both of use. To maximize the productivity of this class, I highly recommend that you check my email daily for updates. I don't plan to send you daily emails, but doing so allows you to catch up with the announcements as quickly as possible. If you want to reply to my email, please DON'T USE REPLY ALL. You can either send a separate email or reply to the message to me.
All Teachers Check-in: As you can see on the schedule, there is a "All Teachers Check-in" every Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. All of your teachers (10 and 11 only) will be online. This is bonding time, and you can attend to ask us any questions regarding our plan for the week and/or address your concerns.
IMPORTANT: If you are facing any difficulty regarding distance learning, please don't hesitate to contact me. Once again, my contact information is:
